Eyebot Companion wont use custom weapons

Post » Wed Apr 07, 2010 7:28 pm

I downloaded an eyebot companion plugin from the internet and decided I wanted to change his weapons since the default weapons are really weak. So I loaded up the eyebot comapnion into Geck and double clicked on the eyebot's default weapon and then changed the ID. I then went ahead and edited that new weapon. I then deleted the eyebot companion's old weapon and placed the new weapon into it's inventory. (i kept his weapon list set to embedded weapon). But now when we go into battle , instead of firing on the enemy, the eyebot companion just sits there and looks at me. I made sure he had ammo for the new weapon(i'm using the deault ammo he had.) and still nothing. I read on anothr thread that I need to change the weapons list of the eyebot companion in order to use a new weapon, but the problem in that I have no idea what weapon list I'm suppose to use. Does anyone have any idea on how to get my new Eyebot Companion to use a custom weapon.

You have to add your 'new' weapon to the embedded weapon 'list'. Better still would be to make your own embedded weapon list and use that instead for compatibiliby reasons.

Goto Miscellaneous --> Form List and search for embeded weapons. Edit the list, the drag and drop you new weapon into that list. Alternatively, You could make a new list with only your new weapon listed in it and then change the "Weapons List" entry on the "Traits" tab of your eyebot to reflect your new list.

Yeah, especially for an already custom creature like this, you should not edit the game's main list - - make a new one like this describes as option 2.
