Morrowind Draugr vs Skyrim Draugr

Post » Tue May 07, 2013 6:59 pm

Am I the only one that finds Morrowind's draugr creepier than Skyrim's? This isn't a bash Skyrim thread, but I went back to play Bloodmoon and every time I encounter a draugr I try to stealth kill it because they really creep me out. They look creepier with their hunched overness, and red eyes. Not to mention they actually run at you and at a really fast speed. I like Skyrim's draugr because they are more unique than Morrowind's and they actually feel like undead warriors, but when it comes to the creepy department they fail in comparison to Morrowind's draugr.

Don't see what? That it is creepier than Skyrim's draugr?

Draugr's blue eyes just ruin the scariness.

And the fact that they're everywhere.

That it is creepy at all. I mean I played Bloodmoon back in the day as well. Never thought they were creepy. I actually think Skyrim's Draugr are creepier. But I don't consider either one creepy.

I think a lot of the things in Skyrim should have struck more terror into the hearts of mortals that roamed its lands. Some things were a bit unnerving, but nothing really 'creepy' as what you're talking about. Although, I am the type of person that finds any and all horror movies more funny than terrifying.

Draugr and the other creatures scare off the people, the DB is just too brave and awesome to be scared.

I don't disagree with that, unless of course someone's Dragonborn character was a low level, light armorer thief. Then they'd be pretty horrified and turn tail.
