Are you able to jump in brink?

I have heard devs talk about wall jumps basically being a double jump, but you can only do it next to a wall. I think H0RSE just over simplified one of the quotes he read.

So yeah, a wall hop. Also know as the tic-tac in Parkour terms. Doing a double tic-tac is possible in game as shown in the run video in the Brink Game Official Website> Features > Freedom of Movement. http://www.brinkthegame.com/features/freedom/ They say that the light can reach places that other the other body types can't, so maybe that the double tic-tac is only available for the light?

Nevermind, I've just read that "the smaller your body type, the higher you can reach." on the mantle part of the video.

I think the first thing you're referring to is a "dropshot", which basicly means to instantly go prone when fighting someone, thus minimising yourself as target and maximising your accuracy at the same time. A good reason not to have "prone" in the game.

But If you do that in COD:BO (It's actually a move, sprint and hold crouch) near an enemy you will just die. You may be able to avoid an enemy doing it but your still likely to get shot if they can see you.
I have killed so many people who thought doing it, out a window or through a doorway, was a good Idea.

So If prone had the same sort of restraints as COD:BO (Turning around/to the side quickly while prone isn't really possible) couldn't it work?

Blops has a dolphin-dive animation (sprint ? go prone), which cancels out the original move named dolphin dive.

I think you confuse dolphin-dives and dropshots right there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAiSvAfdGmA in MW2 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51MRK9kJ2G0 known from BF2.

Yeah probably. The only thing I want prone for is to lay down to hide/make harder target, not to do it on the fly/like the video.
I watched that MW2 vid, and whichever programmer thought getting in and out of prone while running should be that fast, is an idiot.

Lol. It's a film thing partly I guess. When you are acting in a movie you have to move slower than normal because on film stuff looks faster than it is. However when folks are in the Olympics they are enervated but not fighting for their lives. Never underestimate the power of terror. Also there are folks who are hot-wired - they can move so fast the normal eye cannot actually see the movement, just the result. rl When you first meet that it can be scary even if they are on your side. But if you try you can learn to see the invisible ;)

Sounds like you guys are well ahead of the game anyways :D
