RP character build

Any ideas for a RP character build for a wasteland doctor and what perks to take?

Name: Dr. Sloan Boots
Nickname: Doc Boots
Gender: Male
Age: late 20’s
Race: Caucasian

Height: 6’ 1’’

Build: Has the look of a college swimmer that had graduated a few years ago…. Not a flabby guy, but the old 6-pack is faded out of existence.

Attire: wasteland doctor outfit (not a big fan of wearing heavy armor in the hot desert)

Weapons: shotgun, revolver

Skills: Medicine, guns, and speech. He is terrible with repairs and is no salesman.

Tries to avoid fighting (especially against multiple enemies) because his weapons are slow to load and don’t hold much ammo. While he is not equipped very well for a fight, his hand-eye coordination as a surgeon makes him fully capable of lining up the sights of that revolver on a man’s forehead from a reasonable distance. He is also excellent at trap shooting, skeet, and sporting clays.

Position/specialization: Freelance physician (specializes in lower limb surgery but usually gets stuck treating just about anything in the wasteland). Likes to work for the NCR and the Followers, but will treat just about anyone. Doesn't join the Followers full-time because he does believe in getting paid when possible and likes having enough money to afford some recreation at the strip from time to time.

Major Weakness: horrible vision without glasses. Losing glasses would be an absolute kryptonite. Definitely taking four eyes perk

History/ Background: Lots of foot and ankle injuries occur in the wasteland now that travel is extensively by foot in hazardous terrains and plenty of land mines. You would not imagine the amount of blisters that become infected after wandering the desert in scavenged shoes that don’t quite fit. Scavengers always seem to step on huge nails while sifting through partially collapsed buildings and make great customers. Doc Boots also hold a honorary medical officer title in the NCR army since he spends 2 days a week treating NCR troopers for free in return for NCR protection and medical supplies.

Unlike Doc Boots, his wife (also a doctor) was a strong believer in treating everyone in need regardless of their ability to pay or faction orientation. When his wife never returned from a mission trip treating sick members of the Great Kahns, Doc’s life became meaningless. Now he wanders from town to town searching for his wife and accepting any task given to him (aka progressing through the game). He claims that accepting suicidal tasks to help others may shift karma in his favor and bring him to his wife, but many interpret that to mean that he yearns for death.

“Either way, I will be with her soon.”
