I will ask if you will listen? Newbie Questions

A couple questions from someone new to modded morrowind.

First, I'd like to add a lot more variety in the way of food and drinks, something like Cobl for Morrowind. The only thing I've really found is Necessities of Morrowind, but I'd rather not have the scripted hunger, drunkenness, sleep penalties etc. I just want to go to a tavern and have something besides insect by-products to eat. Is there anything like that out there, or must I crack open the CS and customize NoM to my tastes? If I do add NoM, there seem to be several versions out there. I haven't been able to figure out which one is most up to date or best. Any advice?

Also, I found this http://download.fliggerty.com/download-80-816, which is right up my alley, but it seems to be only available in one shop. Is there anything else out there that adds tea or coffee to the gameworld at large, or again do I need to take a crack at the CS?

I haven't added much yet, but I suppose MWSE is worth using? That is, I haven't found any must have mods that take advantage of it. Is 0.9.4a the latest version? And what would be the killer MWSE-dependent mods that I am missing?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure about NoM, as I never use them, but it is very popular mod, so someone else here will be able to help you here.

As far as I know, there are no other tea and coffee mods.

I don't recommend using MWSE. Better grab MGE XE (Morrowind graphics extender). It adds shaders, real-time shadows of objects, distant land and many graphical enhancements and also contains fixed version of MWSE.

EDIT: Ok, it seems that some mods do require standalone MWSE, but from what I heard, it is not worth the trouble.

Regarding NoM, it does have an in-game configuration script when you start and anytime later while playing. Pretty sure you can turn the sleep and drunk scripts off. Can't remember about the hunger scripts -- its been a while since I played. But you should give it a try. If you want variety of food, it can't be beaten. And even though having to eat and drink sounds possibly annoying, personally, it grew on me quickly and I started including it in all my playthroughs. But that's just me. http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8707
