Skyrim HD texture pack, WOW

Post » Wed May 08, 2013 5:21 pm

So after a full day of setting up my super ridiculously powerful gaming PC, i decided I just wanted to see what it looked like on ultra, and then with the HD package....seriously, i can see the pores on my characters nose now. This is awesome, and Im running at a full 60 FPS! Best decision to finance a gaming PC -EVER-. If you can finance 70 - 100 dollars a month, I highly reccomend this. Its WELL worth it . I <3 my xbox, but this is AMAZING.

Just wait until You start adding Mods, if You can avoid the common pitfalls of running Mods.

Im surprised you noticed any difference at all. Save for armor and weapons, there is only minor imporbement to textures overall. Landscape textures see no change at all.

If your computer can handle it install an ENB mod next with Sunrays, Ambient Occlusion, and better Depth of Field effects. Then you'll find your jaw from the floor.

I really don't understand peoples fascination with depth of field. I find it to be such a strain on the eyes and unnatural. I don't always look where my crosshair is, just as normal people don't only look directly in front of them.

It is an aquired taste for sure, I don't think there's any adverse health affects on eyesight from it or anything though.

I guess some like it, some don't.

There are ENB mods with good and bad Depth of Field settings. Good Depth of Field settings add some depth to the view without bothering the player. If an ENB's default settings aren't good with some tweaking you can adjust how accurate the Depth of Field calculations are, how fast your vision adjusts to the area you look and so on. Some ENBs have very simple/bad depth of field calculations and do horrible double blurring.

Edit:

A better Depth of Field is called Bokeh Depth of Field.
