marriage, spouse ai & unique follower dialogue

Post » Wed May 08, 2013 9:33 pm

hello,

maybe someone can help me, i'm a little confused.

i never got married on any of my past characters, nor did i bring along any followers except for serana during the lengthy dawnguard questline.

this might change on the current character though, haven't decided yet.

i've read a bit on the interwebz and found some reports specifically about marriage causing followers with unique lines to shut up and not talk as much as they used to once they're your spouse, example:

http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim_talk:Marcurio#Quiet_after_marriage.3F

now, these reports were posted one year ago, but can anyone confirm/disconfirm this, or has the issue been addressed in a patch or something?

thanks in advance :)

Mercenaries lose their random comments due to changing faction when married. Which is stupid, since you probably marry one of them because you like their personality - which mainly comes from the random comments... :wallbash:

What would have made sense would have been if they both kept their comments AND new comments (other than "good to see you,my love") were added. After all (and now I'm glaring at Res), generally relationships means that you talk more with your partner, and share more of your thoughts with them.

On PC, you can add them back to the hireling faction, but apparently it doesn't fix it completely.
