Dear forum members!
I'm not a english speaking person, but I hope you understand the problem I will describe, otherwise please ask me to explain and I will do my best.
I want to describe an very enoying "graphical problem/issue" that we (me and my daugther) have been suffering with for some time.
Its hard to decribe it in words, so please look at the pics.
My daugther had a AMD/ATI HD6950 about 2 years ago when this problem first occur, during this time I played Oblivion on a Nvidia GTX260 with no issues at all.
She was really into the game, both regarding playing it, but also modding, like clothes and some animal/horse textures. We tried several things to get rid of this issue, but never succesed.
Before I tried to get help from a forum like this she took a break from the game.
About two months ago she bought a new graphic-card Nvidia GTX660 for her 2 year old PC (which ealier contained the AMD/ATI-card HD6950)
The Problem:
* Extreme aliasing/jaggines on bright/light surfaces/textures, mostly bare skin (arms, legs, hands, fingers, faces, bare/bold heads etc, see pics and my comments on them)
* No other problem with the PC, all apps and other games (both old and new) behave just fine.
No other game (not even Fallout 3!?) shows this "bright Aliasing/jagginess"
* OBS: It looks much more horrible ingame (moving NPCs) comparred to those images.

Her config and all the testing we done:
* Newest drivers(clean old one out properly (Safe mode+drivercleaner+reboot))
* WinXp sp3 + all updates (...april 2013)
* Newest DirectX (updated several times to be sure)
* 4GB ram (using Extended adressing+ 4GB-patch)
* Her new graphic card: Nvida GTX660 + her old graphic card: ATI/AMD HD6950, results in the same graphical issue
* My old Nvidia GTX260 (shows nothing like this at all, doesn't have to use any Anti-aliasing at all)
* Problem occur on both un-modded and modded Oblivion
* Problem occur with both HDR, Bloom and no "lightning effect".
* Only certain shaders like OBGE v2/v3 (FMAA, SLAA etc) makes it a little better (but costs some performance), my computer doesnt need to use anything at all with my Nvidia GTX260 card (?!)
* My daugther tried lots of different shaders, but doesnt come close to my "non-bright jagged" image.
* Updating Monitor drivers (both of us use Samsung Synchmaster, 226bw)
* Used Monitors image/color setting tools to no avail ("Magic Tune", "Natural Color Pro",...)
* Used Nvidia control panel (editing the Oblivion profile a lot), even used Nvidia Inspector with corrected values for Oblivion.exe. (regarding AA compability), nothing...
* Tried 3 different monitors on her computer (2 LCDs, 1 VGA), nothing...
* Tried differnet skin-textures (as a last desperate idea), nothing...
Ideas (?!):
* Somethings wrong in the hardware in her computer, like the motherboard, cpu, ram,...
(we exclude the gfx-cards because of two different brands shows the same issue, and both cards work properly with other apps and games)?
* OS-problems?? (its the same WinXp, same CD, but with newer updates on her last computer)
* Her "ingame view" is much more sharp and crispier than my mine, more detailed, but also much more "jaggier" (sawtooth-like (maybe not good word?!)
* When you look at pictures from my gtx260, they are much more blurry and doesnt at all show the "Crispy bright jagginess" on bright surfaces (please look at pics)
* She will prefer to have her image quality more blurry/"foggy"/less sharp, if she can get rid of the horrible bright jagginess.
* She can get close to my ingame view regarding this problem, but she have to use several AA-filters/shaders that cost some performance (like OBGE + heavy shaders and effects).But it most be something wrong here, she shouldn't have to use this in order to get my ingame view, when I use an pretty old graphic card?
We been looking on the web for similar problems, or pics showing something similar to our issue, but hasn't seen anything at all like this!?
We would be very greatful if anyone of you could help us understand this problem/issue!
