Rank the TES main quests...

Considering I hardly ever do the main quest anymore, I wouldn't call myself unlucky...fortunate, maybe...fortunate that I don't have to subject myself to the main quest and those damned dragons that attack you at every single turn.

As for Radiant Quests, I would hope, that with Fallout 4, they have the sense to scrap it altogether. Unfortunately, I seriously doubt that'll happen, the best I can realistically hope for is that they scale it back so that the writing doesn't suffer because of it as has happened with Skyrim.

I already said "Mythic Dawn", did I not?

I don't care for Fallout but I hope Radiant Quests stay with the TES series. I like it a lot. Also, how does Radiant Quests effect the Skyrim's Mainquest? (i can see why guild questlines and such)... But how the MQ? There is NOT ONE single Radiant Quest at all within the Skyrim MQ.

Sorry, I should've clarified, I didn't mean with the main quest.

I still hope that it is scaled back to the point where it doesn't become a replacement for a well thought out and hand written story.

I personally think though the problem aren't Radiant Quests though... I think the real problem is the whole release date and time limit thing...

And personally, if this is true... I think the most time consuming thing was prolly handcrafting the Skyrim world from both exteriors and interiors... So if you want to blame something for Skyrim's stories, blame the time and release date. If that makes any sense.

That's part of it, but Beth's insistence on using this flawed concept even after it became aware it wasn't going to work as intended, didn't leave them enough time to write fully fleshed out questlines...which is why they feel like large chunks of them are missing.

Oblivion > Morrowind > Skyrim

I find Skyrim's to be very underwhelming and overall quite disappointing.

Personally, I know the questlines were rushed and such but I still like them quite a lot. And I don't think they are like so cause of Radiant Quests.

So, are you saying they half assed the quests on purpose? if I half assed my job at work, I'd be fired right then and there. No, Radiant Quests are a big part of the reason why Skyrim's guild quests svck. They were used as filler material, but all that did was leave the guilds with the feeling that large chunks of them were cut from the game.

Sure, delaying the release could've helped the guild quests come out better than they did, but without their (Beth) insistence on using Radiant Story as filler material, they likely wouldn't have needed to delay the game in the first place.
