Let's discuss Aldmeri beauty

I've always assumed attractiveness to humans is exactly the same as our own perceptions of attractiveness. We pump out mods to make elves http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/hot/35665.jpg, and that almost always entails giving them more human features, removing their intense brow ridges, cheekbones, and otherwise angled facial structure.

That got me thinking - what do the purebred baby-killers* of Alinor consider to be the image of Aldmeri beauty? Would they agree that http://i1.minus.com/jbgoCLRKe61w9q.jpg is beautiful, or do they see mannish traits as ugly embrace the intense features that characterize mer? In contrast, would a man think Alinor's purest was ugly?

What do you think is attractive to an Altmer?

*PGE1 hyperbole recognized, let's run with it anyway

Extremely tall and thin. Almost transparent due to being halfway in Aetherius already. Pureblooded Ehlnofey pedigree maintained by a severe and strict regime of incistuous nobility inbreeding, which results in a huge amount of deformed infants which must be discarded at birth. The healers - hoarding ancient Dawn Magics through long Varliance - manage to save a few. Cloning has become fashionable among the Thalmor inner circle. This side effect of Corprus research recovered by Thalmor agents from interrogating a heathen in the east claiming to be the daughter of an ancient wizard allows a proper Aldmeri descendent to produce a superior offspring without the off chance of sullying his or her bloodline with an inferior profligate with trace Mannish ancestry. It also removes the necessity for the vulgar and human-like behavior of coitus.

Height of Dunmer male beauty right here... http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=56764481

Though honestly, I think the Mer share some conceptions of beauty with us. Bisymmetrical preferences and basic body form for instance. Brow ridges and whatnot are not necessarily even that big of a deal once you get down to it. It is a mild exaggeration of a feature that humans actually have.

It all really depends though. Personally I thought something like the Navi from Avatar were actually kind of attractive in a small way. The ten foot tall bit would take some getting used to I think. So I imagine there is a good amount of room within the Altmer conception of beauty for humans to find them attractive as well.
