editing jsawyer.esp

Post » Tue May 14, 2013 1:07 pm

First I'd like to admit that I'm a newbie with geck, so bear with me. I'm using GECK_NVE_v1.4

I would like to edit a few variables in the jsawyer mod; iXPBumpBase, iXPBase, and iMaxCharacterLevel. I want to put them somewhere between vanilla and modded values, I'll need to experiment to find the sweet spot. Anyway, I have a problem opening jsawyer.esp with geck. I checkmark it and set it as the active file and click OK. It tells me "Multiple master files selected for load. Load operation aborted." It doesn't seem to matter whether I have the masters checkmarked or not, it gives the same error. What am I doing wrong? How am I supposed to go about editing this?

GeckCustom.INI
[General]bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1
Also, there's FNVEdit.

Ahh, thank you. Yay it works. For starters I chose the values of iXPBase=230 (vanilla = 200, jsawyer = 275), iXPBumpBase=170 (vanilla = 150, jsawyer = 200) and iMaxCharacterLevel=20 (vanilla = 30, jsawyer = 15). When I loaded my saved game I was concerned that the game would freak out about suddenly having enough xp to level-up, but the surplus points didn't trigger an actual level-up until I earned xp again. There doesn't seem to be any problems. Thanks again.
