It actually has two votes! What a miracle!

I was surprised to find that Whiterun feels most like home, as I never really fell for it before this playthrough. I had to revamp the player house there to suit my needs and to have enough space for 2 children, without pushing each other off the stairs or into the firepit. But it has all the amenities I need. I really like the Jarl and it is really central to everything. The city just feels cheerful and homey.

I love the layout of Windhelm, but then I love close towns with narrow passageways and a non linear, interesting layout. Too cold, damp and dark to make a permanent home.

Falkreath feels so peaceful and is so beautiful, but it doesn't feel like home. Too depressing and not enough going on.

I love Solitude, though it looks kinda dodgy perched up there on a rock bridge. The player house though....not really my cup of tea, just too cold with the bluish stone walls. But it is a beautiful city. I have a personal modded home right next to the sawmill, that is really convenient for shopping in Solitude.

Riften is beautiful, just doesn't feel like home. I would have thought that Riften would have been home as the architecture and layout is right up my alley and I did at one point live in a farm right outside a gate into the city, that I built for myself. I loved nipping into Riften for all my shopping needs. But too many crazy characters in the city and I hate Maven Blackbriar.

I never go to Markarth unless I have to. I can't even say that I know the layout of the city very well. Took me 10 minutes to find the player house the last time I was there. It is a beautiful, interesting city, but it is just waaay away from everything else, so I tend to forget it exists.

So overall, Whiterun is home.

All of them.

Beth has outdone themselves with the cities in Skyrim and Solstheim.

I could go on for hours why I absolutely adore X city, but I chose Whiterun for my vote.

It is very nostalgic, some sweet people, it is homey and has some really nice quests, three blacksmiths and several merchants doesn't it hurt logistically.

Whiterun also has Heimskr, we're bros'.

Why hasn't the Thalmor put a hit on him?

Given how many people he annoys out of character to the point of murder he is the perfect anti-Talos worship tool.

Do people want to be associated with that loudmouthed self proclaimed Prophet of Talos?

Hardly.

He doesn't annoy me and much of what he says makes sense.

So we're bro's.

I voted:

Markarth - I love the scenery here. The stone architecture that gives it a completely foreign feel from the rest of the cities. Stepping out of Vlindrel hall at night and seeing the moons high over the city always gets me.

Riften - I love the layout and the atmosphere. It feels very dense and crowded compared to a lot of the other cities. you can tell just by being here what kind of place it is - dangerous.

Falkreath - Falkreath hold is beautiful. Maybe I'm just biased for this one because Falkreath was the first city/town I visited in the game. But when the fog rolls in and those towering trees in around it.. so lovely.

Dawnstar - I love to just stand on the shore in Dawnstar and look out over the Sea of Ghosts. It's so peaceful.

I think the only time I've spent in Markarth is for the DB and the Forsworn Conspiracy. Maybe I should spend a little more time there. Might be missing something. LOL

Gues I never really ventured out that way too often.

Markarth is a beautiful city but it has 2 forced quests so I usually don't go there...

Same with Falkreath, two quests that are hard to avoid if you don't want to do them atm.

have you seen a dog out there?
