Just played a Few rounds of Crysis 2.

And it made me realise how god damn good Crysis 2 is at things and how bad Crysis 3 is in comparisent.

These are the things I managed to pick up on when playing Crysis 2 compared to Crysis 3:

Significantly Better gunplay:
Better Animation quality all around.
Better Player models.
Significantly better map design all around.
Less BS (Although there still quite abit compared to other games)
The energy management Meta Game (Creates alot of tension and but clenching)
3,5,7 Killstreaks work better than 3.5.7.10
Air Stomping Takes skill ^^
Skippable Killcams!!
More stable Killcams
Unlock Tokens
Damage Model is very satisfying.
Higher Skill Ceiling.
Less emphasis on Grinding the best equipment and more balanced perks + equipment. (Although still suffers from giving new players crappy gear, or that the gear is way too good when it's leveled up).
No VTOL/Pinger nonsense.
Jackal's Default Reload is so much cooler.
Guns don't swing and sway in your face when you strafe and ADS.
Sighted movement spread is signifcantly lower allowing accurate fire even when power jumping.
Each map has a unique feel, Not all of them have a forced "Overgrown" theme which I don't really like that much.

However Crysis 3 isn't all bad, there are good things in C3 that aren't in C2 such as:

Alien Weapons
in-game Customisable weapons.
Interactive environments such as kicking doors down, and Poles!
Crash Sites with Shields on them

I've been really re-invigorated recently after playing Crysis 2, After playing over 1k hours of it on xbox, I'm having a ton of fun on it despite it.

So if anyone on here still has Crysis 2, hit me up onit and we can play some games (I have all DLC's)

Oh yes and the Crysis 2 Fy71 is my new favourite six toy :)

Oh, is it OP? It's the only gun I been using since I got it.

If so I don't really care, It's damn satisfying to use.

It's incredibly OP.

I don't think you're giving C3 credit where it's due and I think you repeated a couple things in your C2 pros list, but it's your opinion which I cannot refute.

The FY in C2 is pretty a pretty sad gun.

it's the only DLC, and it's a fully auto Grendel with a larger clip.

that sounds a lot like a 'pay to win' type dlc, to me.

yeah dude the FY71 in Crysis 2 is way OP and a lot of Servers banned it, along with the Scar-Laser (sound familiar?) and the L-Tag. The Feline was my gun in C2, in C3 it gets no love from me. A lot of what you said is your opinion, some I think is actually wrong with regards to the animation. Crysis 3 has better visuals than Crysis 2, just for the evolution of technology alone. Air Stomp in Crysis 2 was extremely buggy if you landed on a ledge that was 1 inch above or below your target it wouldn't connect, it was very frustrating, however I learned to Air Stomp on C2 and I do a pretty good job of it on C3. I'm also pretty sure the kill cams are more accurate on Crysis 3, although they still have their problems.

Being able to skip kill cams was nice though.
The unlock tokens are very much missed by me, that should have made it's way to Crysis 3, I don't understand why it didn't.
For me the damage model in C2 was more satisfying, like you. The energy management should have been redone better. I'm not sure what I would have done, but there was a certain rhythm to Crysis 2 that is not existent in Crysis 3. Of course to get into this rhythm you really needed Energy Transfer, getting a kill and being rewarded by a energy recharge was the best, also the fact that in Crysis 2 after you kill most people cloaked right away, it was like a stealth ninja assassin. I think Energy Transfer should have been implemented for everyone across the board in Crysis 3, this may have lead us to not need split energy bars. Crysis 2 also had this amazing circling gameplay, players would circle eachother cloaked you knew they were around you and the good players survived it :)

As for the "overgrown" levels in Crysis 3, it's just part of the story, don't forget New York has been encased inside that dome for 20 years. I think that look is definitely fitting for the story of Crysis. Also I find that Crysis 3's levels are just as unique as Crysis 2's, if not better. In Crysis 2, Evac Zone and Statue were right next to eachother and on bigger game types they are loaded together to make one giant map.

Just played a few round of Crysis Wars.

You said there's a Crysis 2? And what is this Crysis 3 you speak of?

Crytek has made a Crysis game since 2008?

MADNESS! So there must be 32 - 64 players, Power Struggle, large maps, an agile Nanosuit, prone, lean, speed mode, tanks, vtols, helicopters, boats, a map autodownloader, and more?

Right? :)

Don't forget less damage drop off and less affected by silencer than the grendel.
