Okay, I bought the game on Origin a few weeks ago when it was on sale. I downloaded it and played the first level. I had been busy so I didn't play it again until the other day. However, when I tried to start a new game, it would freeze on the cutscene at the beginning where the helicopter is. Every single time it would freeze in that same spot.

Next I tried to load my old save. When I played the first time I had beaten the first level. However, when I tried to resume my old game, it would load but I couldn't move and all the textures were very blurry like they weren't loaded properly. It's the part where you're standing in front of a door with Psycho. Every single time it would do that.

I uninstalled the game from Origin and redownloaded it. Now, when I start a new game it still freezes on the helicopter part. If I try and load my old game, the loading screen stays up indefinitely. It doesn't freeze, the little bar is still moving, but it never loads.

I have:

Core i7 2600
MSI Z77 MPower Mobo
8GB RAM
2x AMD HD 7950s in Crossfire
Thermaltake 850W PSU 80+
Windows 8 loaded on a Samsung 128GB SSD
The game (and Origin) is installed on a secondary drive (Western Digital Black)


Nothing is overclocked. I have no problems in any other games. I don't know what else to try if uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help. I've tried searching Google but it only wants to return results for people that have illegally obtained the game it seems. Is no one else who purchased the game having these problems?

Edit: I forgot to say that the game never lets me exit after this happens either. I have to sign out of my Windows profile in order to get control of my computer again. However, doing this always gives me a blue screen restart.

Really? No one is having problems with this game? Am I the only one who wasted money buying a game that won't even play?

Does the profile you are installing crysis 3 have admin privileges?
