On my Xbox 360 version of Oblivion I have an issue where, when I first start up the game, it says "Loading extra content", but when I get in game, none of it is there, I have all the DLC but they arn't actually loading in game. I have the GOTY edition, and I tried re-downloading Shivering and KOTN, but to no avail. Any tips?

Ah. I remember how miffed I was when I bought the GOTY Edition of Oblivion. Got it home, downloaded the DLC's, started up the game, went out of the underground passage, and... nothing. None of the extra stuff was there like it should have been. I waited the 24 hours like it said to so the Island could appear and STILL nothing! You're gonna have to delete those DLC's from the HD for the time being.

I found out from a friend that you have to go online. Then for some reason, once you're hooked up to Xbox Live and signed in, THEN you can download the DLC's, wait 24 hours (in-game, not IRL), and THEN they'll become active. After that, you NEVER have to go online again if you don't want to (unless you delete them again for some ungodly reason).

svcked for me because I didn't get Live for like 2 years after that. I beat the regular game like three times during that period. I don't know why Bethesda did that one, but yeah... you gotta be signed into Live when you download those and start the game up for it to become active.
