Passage from East to West?

Well to be fair, the only source of Uranium at the time was in the Belgian Congo... So yeah it would have been tough, but still, the Nazis did http://gizmodo.com/#!5524604/real-%5Bcensored%5D-flying-nazi-soldiers-with-jet-packs

They also had flying saucers :shifty:

Or even that they were able to get him working, but either he quickly breaks down (since the scribe mentions that they haven't field tested him and having got him fully up and runnning) or that he is almost immediatly obliterated by Enclave air-power.

That would be a much more original proceedure:

"Alright men, we follow Prime and the first glass of waters on me!"

*Screaming of rotors and missiles*

"Systems failure, iniciating core shutdown, emergency initiative 2682209, die so that... democracy... will... live."

They even had a crude Gauss weapon employed as an anti-aircraft weapon; a mass of coils, powered by a small powerstation that could propell iron slugs if I recall my book correctly, sa you can imagine nothing came of it.

Two of the three atomic bombs America made during WW2 were plutonium not uranium. Not sure where they got it from. Germany was also forced to use slave labour to make the V1 and V2 Rockets.

They were smart smart people but alot of stuff about their "wonder weapons" could just be total crap.

Sorry, I meant to say Plutonium, not Uranium.

I think the Germans were going for a uranium bomb. They tried to send alot of Uranium to Japan by U-Boat before they surrendered. I think America got its uranium from Canada.

Wouldn't it have been a welcome change of pace if they just never got Prime working at all?

Yes, it actually would have. I didn't like it either, nor did I like the fact that the Enclave had access to orbital bombardment but never used it when it would have made a difference. Bad writing, bad plot. It is canon though (unfortunately) so that's what I'm working with.

Or even that they were able to get him working, but either he quickly breaks down (since the scribe mentions that they haven't field tested him and are unsure if he will function properly) or that he is almost immediatly obliterated by Enclave air-power.

For me it would have been better if there had been no Liberty Prime to begin with, would have been nice if the Brotherhood could have beaten the Enclave without the help of a massive pre was robot that just happened to be fixed minutes before they needed it.

I think it would have been a better ending if the LW had been tasked with re-uniting Lyons squad with the Outcasts somehow and them team up to take on the Enclave, in exchange that the Outcasts get a portion of the tech that they recover from the Enclave, as well as Lyon's assistance in returning to the west. Maybe the Outcasts found some huge cache of tech (T51-b power armor and Gauss rifle's?) they could have used to help the Brotherhood. But thats a whole nother argument for a whole nother day.

Don't forget if you plan to travel from the east to west coast you'll have to travel over the Rockies.

Slightly off topic but does anyone else find it weird that in the Fallout Universe a bunch of scientist can repair a giant fusion-powered robot... But there's not a single person who has "invented" a simple bicycle or use any other transportation vehicle (apart from Vertibirds, the B29 and Highwayman from FO2).
Here's an example: Get a big crate - collect a bunch of metal plates, use rail-road nails to fuse them into a wheel - connect the wheels to big metal rods - connect two of these on the big crate = TRANSPORTATION!

Also why has nobody thought to stick a seat on top of a robobrain/securitron/other robot? If you stuck a seat on ED-E you'd have your own little weaponized flying machine!

It's just insane to me, it's the single most annoying thing I can think of about Fallout :banghead:

Well I think http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1179429-bicycles/, and I concluded that it was really bad writing.

Penicillin was also an accident.

Point is Mr.House is a genius and the people that came up with MFcells and AI ZAX computers. If they can't get it to work with the wealth and resoucres of the richest nation on earth. No wastelander should be able to fix it. At least not with Flash bulbs and senor modules.

If the US scientists had another month it would be running, it took Lyon's BoS years.
