Bound Sword or Daedric?

Post » Fri May 17, 2013 1:59 am

Was just wondering if i should ditch my Bound Sword for a Daedric one? I have no perks in smithing so i think i can only get a superior one, was just wondering if that would do more damage than a Bound Sword or not. I know i cant enchant a Bound Sword and thats a hudge con.

Yeah it's a bummer you can't custom enchant it but Bound sword is awesome and the enchantments it has with the perks are awesome.

Bound Sword Pros:

Soul Trap+Banish Undead.

It doesnt add weight and you can carry more loot

Looks Awesome

Bound Sword cons:

Casting/Sheathe Time

Less Damage

Daedric Sword Pros:

More damage

Custom enchantments

Can temper for extra damage

Sheathe/Unsheathe

Daedric Sword cons:

Enchantments don't have infinite charges

Weight

I would use the bound sword to fight conjurers or when I need to soul Trap, but I would use the daedric sword as a main source of damage.

The Bound Sword, technically being a Daedric sword, has the same base damage as a Daedric Sword, if you have the Mystic Binding Perk. Even if you are only able to improve the Daedric Sword to Superior, it will always be better.

EDIT : Even without a strong Smithing skill, a mage can utilize enchntanted gear and potions to increase the skill. You need to get it to 168 to improve anything to Legendary.

^^This. Plus if you have perks invested in one-handed, its really strong.
