Only Vicente valtieri is known to have a garlic allergy, and he's stated in a note to ocheeva that he knows of no other vampire with this condition. So, Garlic wouldn't work.

At the same time, it might make them stop in their tracks when they're wondering why he just threw garlic, giving him ample oppurtunity to run away in the boots. Wait, is he a Breton? Or some other way of resisting magicka?
