hi there i am having a problem with the the Reuification of skyrim quest in skyrim because every time i talk to legate Rikke she never has the option to "report for duty" i managed to get her to have that option when went back to general tullius and said "how goes the war" but now i'm on the part of the quest were i need to regain the Reach but then when i go to do this proccess to go back and talk to general tullius and talk about "how goes the war" and then go to legate Rikke she doesnt have the option to let me say "reporting for duty" and i need help and i have completed the quest "Season Unending" and that might be why the trick isn't working and it says on the Unoffical Elder Scrolls pages say that if all else fails then you may just have to setstage for the reunificion of skyrim to 255 but that completes the quest and breaks the game to where now i have to manually start the next quest and the other forts that i was supposed take over don't get taken over because i didn't finish the quest can anyone help

If you've completed season unending there is no way to hand over control of the Rift to another faction so you can bypass that content.

Have you tried reloading a save?

Sometimes, getting Rikke in and out of combat mode will trigger the bugged dialogue option to appear. Sometimes, for some reason, interacting with the cooking pot at the camp does the same.

Sometimes talking to Tullius and exhausting all his 'how goes the war' topics will have the same effect. None of these are guaranteed to work, unfortunately.

Sometimes fast travelling to the camp Rikke is at (once you're there, & she won't talk, open the map & fast travel to that same location) will sometimes help.
