After seeing some talk around here and other places, did Skyrim really need another DLC? I have not played any of the DLCs yet, are they worth it?
I was hoping to buy once I feel there is enough content there.

Not really, honestly. I felt it could have used another to really separate itself.. but Dawnguard/Hearthfire/Dragonborn was a really good effort. After playing Fallout 3, people need to realize the DLC Skyrim got was fairly large.
Orsinium would have been stellar. Orcs could use some love.
This^
I feel happy with what we got.
I don't think so. Despite people being disappointed that it didn't live up to Oblivion's Shivering Isles (this not being my opinion) Skyrim's DLC was great and it added a lot of new content that was pleasing. In fact, Dawnguard is my favorite DLC of the TES games I have played (even surpassing Tribunal).
I believe the DLC is definitely worth getting, both Dawnguard and Dragonborn. Tons of new content and more to explore. Hearthfire is a smaller scale DLC revolving around building your own home out in the wilderness of Skryim, it's not much, but for the cheap price, I'd say it's worth it as well.
I think after seeing some talk around here the better question is. Did the Beth forums need another thread about needing more dlc? This is a worn out topic that can be searched and yield a whole lot of results to satisfy any curiousity.
By your signature, I can tell you're not fond of such threads; but there is no need to derail it however. He is asking if the DLC is worth purchasing.
I could have searched, yes, my bad.
If there is enough content that gets me 30+ hours on those two DLCs, I might just pick it up then. Fallout 3 didn't have big DLCs.
I'll just ignore the nature of this and answer with this. The subject is "Did Skyrim need another DLC?" The post goes on to ask that. As an after thought the question of are they worth buying is thrown in.
I asked two questions..is there any problem?
I am sorry I didn't think I will get a butt slap for "worth it" question. Next time then.
Need? No. It didn't need more DLC.
Would more DLC have been liked? Yes.
But it doesn't need anything and we're not owed anything.
And yes I believe what we got was worth it.
Don't worry about some of these folks. I promise they don't worry about you.
I think they are all worth it. All together, they easily add 50 hrs of gameplay for the average player. For me... I get that much from one of them. Hearthfire is a fun addition and it adds some great mechanics to the game.
the DLCs we got were great. I loved the story of dawnguard and i enjoyed the fun of dragonborn
I am in the camp of, I would love to see more. I get it though it would make the game far too big for consoles to handle. I do think one more would have been nice though. FINISH OFF THEM DAMN HIGH ELF NAZIS
I say yes it did a lot of Skyrim feels bland even now with just the add ons installed.
Skyrim leaves a lot to be desired lore wise and TES wise for long time ES players.
As Skyrim stands on its own unmodded the game is not very rewarding on its own, the only reward I get is the continuity of the story of my characters.
I'm happy with what we've got, but another DLC would've been nice.
