If you have a ton of spare money, you can just buy filled soul gems every chance you get, along with whatever armor/clothing you can find. IIRC, Forifying Sneak is the fastest way to gain XP in Enchantment.

Destruction is just rediculous. I have a Mage character that's loaded with magic and has about 50 hours of almost nothing but Destruction use, and with the Mage Stone active, I'm at about level 70. I tried to boost it with Fireball spamming a bunch of Mammoths and Giants on master, and after 20 minutes or so, it went up about half the bar, so I doubt I'll ever reach 100.

You can get enchanting up quickly by making a Fortify Enchanting potion after going through a restoration loop a few times. Drink it, enchant a few things, and you should be there. Your alchemy will be high too.

There's no way to glitch to 100 in destruction that I know of. You gotta get out there and throw fireballs in some faces, man. Sorry.

But you have to grind for like 30 hours to reach level 90 to get them in the first place anyway.

Didn't you make this same thread back in January? :D

The only way to level Destruction is by casting the highest level spells you can. Not really a short cut to do it. XP gain is based of of the base magicka cost of the spell.

Enchanting is a base XP gain, no matter the enchantment or the soul gem used. So, pick any enchantment you have and use petty soul gems.

I have a Mage character that just recently got to 100 in Enchanting, and I'm pretty sure I noticed a difference in difference sized soul gems. Much like how Jewely gives off more than a dagger when Smithing.

Nope. Its a base gain across the board. Smithing and Alchemy is based off of item cost. Enchanting is not.

You can enchant ragged trousers with any enchantment and use a petty soul gem and gain the same XP as a Daedric armor with a grand.

Is this new? I recall getting huge jumps doing the resto glitch but that was in 2011.

It always been that way. I initially thought the same thing, due to alcheny and cost. Smithing was initially a base cost. That's why iron daggers was such a popular thing to do. They changed that to 3x cost + 25. Enchanting has remained the same.

:D I think I'll be there before anyone else.

I guess you could look at enchanting with the most expensive enchantment you have to get a little more gold out of the deal in order to buy more gems, but that is really micro managing.

I usually don't bother with enchanting that much until I get to level 25 or so. By then I have collected a slew of soul gems and then spend a day or two roaming the range around Whiterun.

I want to say it takes 250 enchanted items to get to 100. I could be horribly off but that number is flashing in my mind for some reason.

EDIT : Ah... I was off by 60. It takes 310 soul gems to get from 15 to 100. Maybe I was taking it from 20 to 100?

At any rate this is what I usually adhere to...

Petty / Lesser - Enchant to level

Common / Greater - Recharge weapons and staves

Grand - Enchant gear you actually use

Enchanting is pretty easy to level. Dis-enchanting certain items ,especially clothing is a good way. For weapons use turn undead, stamina damage, paralyze, banish daedra, absorb health. You can enchant iron daggers with either of those ,with petty soul gems. Your skill will go up and you'll make plenty of money....You could use that money to train destruction. I find using fire runes a great way to level destruction. If you have the mana spam runes and destruction will go up quite quickly. Destruction and restoration have always been harder to level than most. While using the mage stone don't forget to sleep at home or rent a bed for well rested bonus ,or lovers comfort if married. Then go and spam fire runes. Enchanting goes up real quick in my opinion.

Good enchantments for apparel are: Destruction (body) Water breating ,archery ( head ). Sneak, fortify one,two handed, carry weight, for (gaunlets and boots.) Same for rings and necklaces. Sneak is the best.
