So I bought Fallout 3 GOTY (not steam) after I wanted to give the Fallout series a new try after the dissapointment with Fallout New Vegas' Main quest being broken.

But Fallout 3 turned out to be even more furiating than New Vegas.

Everytime I try to play the game after installing the DLC from disc 2, or if I try to intall a patch, I get an error message which translate approximate (it's in Swedish originally) into:

"Can not find sequence number (could also translate into "serial number" or "order number") 5360 in the DLL-file xlive.dll"

I don't have a clue how to fix this or why it only pop-up after I install the DLC or try to install the patch. I have re-installed the game several times but that haven't helped.

Appreciate any help I can get.

And for anyone who know Swedish the original message is: " Det g?r inte att hitta ordningsnummret 5360 i DLL-filen xlive.dll"

You need to update your Games for Windows Live client, the version that comes with the GOTY edition is out of date. You can find a newer version at Microsoft's website. I'm not sure why they would include an out-dated GFWL client with a compilation that's supposed to be complete.
