Newbie-friendly weekend

The concept just crossed my mind, but it needs to be defined. Maybe we could set a few servers and join times where experienced players could try not to destroy newbies but help them, maybe 2 captains per server organizing even squads or something. Lobby time should be longer than usual to have time to chat between matches, so we would need the collaboration of server owners.

Is this a silly idea? Opinions, suggestions?

Seems like a decent idea as long as everyone cooperates

Its a nice idea and could work, but I and my clan and squad friends are already kind to noobs.. if there are more than 50% of pre level 50, we wont go as hard as normal, allowing them to get some kills and points too. We cant afford to loose players or scare new players away with a massive pub stomp in their first few games. Be nice to others and nice things will happen to you.

There's a difference between not being hard on the and actively trying to help them learn, which would be the point of this in my mind.

DUDE I'm down for that! I'll totally help them, we need more good players and I'm willing to utilize our server to make them better!

yeah! yeaaahhh

we'd have to line up ratios of skilled players to noobs; we'd probably also want to do some objective oriented game modes in order to facilitate team work.

I agree, I'm not very fond of those aimless killing nonsense game modes.

Let's see if somebody could contribute with a server in Europe.

Maybe the most difficult part is to get the newbies to join, because most active users in gamesas are veterans (and some veteran noobs, such as me :)
