My friends call me "schizo" phrenic :-)

Hello everyone,

I play this grand game now 1500 hours, maybe a few more. I am now in my fourth character and I get some thoughts in my head. Some thoughts about this Game.

For I know that it is not so superficial as everyone might think. Quite the contrary.

The main story ... the many little stories on the side .. the tasks that you get ... the decisions that you can make free ... the dialogs.. the happenings at the edge..

Yeah, look at the edge ! And read between the lines !!!

Then you will see, that the game goes deeper and deeper, on the ground of your soul. And there lies the truth about each of us.

Or as we say here in Germany : " Zeig mir wie Du spielst, und ich sag Dir wer Du bist " In translation : "Show me how you play, and I will tell you who you are"

Or with other words, the game knows more about the player, than the player about the game !

So can only hope that the game is your friend. And everything it knows, keeps in secret with you.

And no backdoor Codes and Programs send it out to the World. Where there are people who would pay in cash for it !

But dont worry about it, as I said : My friends call me "Schizo" ! ;-) ...and thats your last hope ! :-)

In other words: Bethesda could be storing info and telemetry data and selling them to private corporations and or interested governments like the U.S?

Crazy conspiracy theory aside, between you and me. I wouldn't be surprised. Anyway, cool story bro?

In all seriousness, my uncle had schizophrenia, I'd recommend seeing a doctor sooner rather than later if you actually think you have it.

Well, that was a very inspiring read. A bit scary, but still inspiring. Or the other way round.

Anyway, I don't think Skyrim is transmitting anything. There's no always-on requirement and actually, you can play it completely off-line after you've activated it. Next TES on the next Xbox (aka Orwell's telescreen), maybe...

Spoiler
:D

He propably talks about the daedric quests -and some others. Like beating an old man to death, eating the flesh off the corpses, mauling people and eating their hearts, killing the people who trust you most, trading someone else's soul to get your own back, etc.

Don't worry, I'm fluent in German and English and I would summarize this post with

, too.

However I have no idea whether the OP actually has schizophrenia (unlikely), is drunk (the infamous drunk post :bonk: ) or simply played way too much Skyrim (the most likely explanation). The only thing that's for certain is that this post makes no sense whatsoever.

Clearly Sheogorath has blessed thee.

Or maybe he read some of Hermaeus Mora's books and found the truth that no mortal can comprehend while maintaining sanity.

I think I understand what you're saying...you feel that the way you play is telling of who you are right? Then you worry that your playstyle is being recorded and monitored. Well I highly doubt this is happening, if anything you should worry more about what you do online and on your phone as all that data is definitely being recorded. "They" won't need to see you play Skyrim as they already know you well from the internet and phone...if you have facebook and the like then "they" know everything about you, your friends, and your family.

Pretty much this. If anything, it's the purely multiplayer shooter games that's being "monitored".

ha you know it's funny you say that as Black Ops 2 lets the user record and upload vids to youtube as well as links to facebook and all that crap....there could be some truth to your words as they're making it easier to monitor by letting foolish players do all the recording for them ;)

The game definitely doesn't know more about the player than the player knows about the game. Especially for hardcoe role players who have multiple and very different characters. If I play as a pure good character, not doing anything immoral, does that mean I am a good person? Not necessarily. Likewise, if I play a pure evil character, does that mean I'm an evil person?

And what does it mean if I play a pure good character, retire him, then play a pure evil character? What does the game "know" about me then?

Or if I play a character that does every quest in the game, no matter if they are considered good or evil. Or Neither. What does that say about me? What does the game "know" about me?
