There is no "best" race, but I prefer playing as a Nord in Skyrim because of the setting. While playing Oblivion, my main was an Imperial. I feel a better sense of immersion while being of the same race of the locals and having them and the guards treat me as one of their own.

I like Bosmer. And Redguards.

Of course. Bosmer have the "One Thousand Benefits of Hiding." At least, that's what I think it's called. I see Bosmer being very affective in guerilla warfare. Especially in Valenwood.

True, but I think the Argonians would be able to kick out the Bosmer easily if they were to try to invade Black Marsh.

Argonians and Bosmer are immune to diseases, so the Bosmer has a better chance to live a little longer while living in Black Marsh.

Of course. The Marsh is their greatest weapon. They could defeat any combination of people on Nirn in that swamp.

Yet they'd fail at combat anywhere else, only reason they managed to hit morrowind so hard was because the Dunmer were scattered and weakened, yet as soon as the Dunmer united they pushed the argonians back into Black Marsh.

Oh I don't think they'd fail elsewhere, simply because of what they did in Oblivion. The Dremora closed their own gates they were so fierce. I think they'd shred everyone but Skyrim and High Rock, the cold places.
