A couple of in game irritations I've found

I'm currently playing Oblivion again and while things are mostly fine I've ran into a couple of constant irritations that show up from time to time.

Irritation 1: Killing certain hostile enemies results in false accusations of murder

I've seen this with the following:

Spectral Warriors/Reavers from OOO/FCOM

Certain types of Vampire (Liecher Vampire Brute from Star X Vampires being one I can count for definite but I have seen this happen with others)

The Ghosts of the Knights of the Nine when they test you in combat before accepting you as one of them, during the Knights of the Nine Questline.

Now I never recieve any bounties or infamy when this happens and using the Stop Dark Brotherhood mod allows me to clear my name as soon as I find a bed, but until I do that I have to put up with several consequences; I can sometimes get a pop-up telling me that I can no longer wield the Holy Relics because of my "crimes"; should the game crash before I can find a bed and I load the game up, Arren will immediately take me to task for being "A foul murderer" and his disposition towards me drops. I've found I can avoid this if I load up the savegame again while in game but it's annoying to have to do. Using the console to "clean" my character's record: "modpcmiscstat 32 -x" doesn't really help I still need to find a bed before I can relieve myself of these problems until they show up again.

This irritation is fairly minor compared to the next one though:

Irritation 2: Companions and other friendly NPCs not properly participating in combat against certain enemies:

Against certain enemies my companions and any other friendly NPCs will do nothing in combat except unsheath their weapons and then sheath them again, or in the case of Arren constantly spam heal. This leaves me having to fight on my own with often fatal results (my character isn't a warrior tank who can take anything that goes) I've seen this behavior against the following enemies:

Goblins (All types from both Vanilla and Mods)

Skeleton Guardians (It seems to be this particular rank of skeleton that causes the problem - as soon as I kill all these in an area my companions spring to life and start attacking the rest)

Hill Giants (All types that I've seen so far)

Boneflayers and Boneflayer Shamens (From Warcy I believe)

Liecher Vampire Brute (from Star X Vampires) - other Vampire types seem to have no issues though

Audens Avidens - Very special case here, after coming for me in revenge after I got him arrested for corruption. I was in Cheydinhal Great Hall at the time (ironically giving evidence to Garrus about Ulrich Leiland - the other corrupt guard in the game) when he came in, my compainions and every guard in the hall (as well as Audens himself!) started doing the sheath/unsheath behavior while Arren spammed Heal even more than usual.

Edit: I also notice that when I load up the savegame just before Audens comes in, I have no bounty or criminal record but when he attacks me (or at least tries before all the silliness starts) I get an an assault charge with 40 bounty, the only way to prevent this is to enter the console and kill him with that before he reaches me, I then have no bounty or crime record.

I'm not sure whether it's a bug with a particular mod or some sort of strange conflict that's causing these issues. I have cleaned all my mods that needed cleaning with TES5Edit and I'm pretty certain I have installed everything properly. Here is my current load order:

Active Mod Files:

This can be caused by a mod adding enemies to a faction that is not flagged as evil. For an actor to be considered evil and thus off limits to murder accusations, all his factions have to be flagged as such. If only one of them isn't, the actor suddenly becomes non-evil and killing him can result in a murder trigger.
One mod that adds a dummy non-evil faction to all NPCs indiscriminately is Persuasion Overhaul, I had to edit it to put the Evil flag on that faction. But with as many mods as you have, I'm not too sure if there could be others in that list guilty of the same.

For your second issue, well, that sounds weird. Getting an assault bounty when you get hit, do you have reflect damage active?
It looks like a weird script from a mod trying to alter what NPCs do when in a combat situation. They want to help, but a script is making them stop perhaps?

Audens never even hits me, he's stuck in the unsheath/sheath loop as well. I'll look into Persuasion Overhaul and see if editing that fixes that particular issue (what do you have to do in TES4Edit to fix it exactly?).

Edit: I loaded the mod in Tes4Edit and set the PersuasionGift and PersuationDisable factions to the Evil faction. Was this correct?

A couple factions from StarX VVR didn't have the Evil tag, so I added them (StarX gave me permission to release updates awhile back; the revised version is http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/42912). House Leicher already had it, though, so I'm not sure why Leicher brutes do that. I read on UESP that if you incur multiple non-bounty crimes, you can clear them by performing a criminal act that *does* incur a bounty, like assaulting a guard; once you pay the fine, all your bounties will be cleared.

Side note: your version of TAS is outdated; it's up to 3.6.

You're using Supreme Magicka, Midas Magic, *and* LAME? Wow. How did you get them all to work together?
