2 questions re getting rid of items

Post » Sat Apr 10, 2010 7:29 am

I'm having trouble handing over the Macabre Manifest and Agamir's shovel to Jesmine. I can see them in my own inventory but if I try the trading icon with her, they aren't there. When I go through all the dialogue options there's nothing there about giving her something. And yet when I'm about to leave she says "Weren't you going to give me some things?"

Secondly, when over-encumbered, how do you drop items from your inventory? I don't see anything in the manual's list of gameplay controls. I'm so used to the way things are done in Fallout 3 I'm having trouble picking them up in Oblivion.

Thanks for your patience.

The manifest and shovel need to go to Thoronir, not Jensine. Give him a try.

Are you playing on PC? Drop stuff from your inventory by shift-clicking the items you wish to drop.

Did you get a mace? If not go back to mausoleum, search behind tomb statues for a pleasant surprise.

Make sure when you talk with Jensine, that you look at your dialogue options and scroll down to the one you need. You have to scroll down to find the topic for this situation in this quest, and for a few other quests. Although simple, it stumps many of us first time through. :)

Just in case you don't know about it, you can assign items like weapons, repair hammers, potions etc. to hotkeys,
(numbers 1 - 8) by clicking on the item in your inventory while holding down the number. I was recently going crazy
trying to figure this out myself. One set of old saved games had keys set, but I couldn't remember how to change
or set them initially with a new character.

Thanks to all of you. Very helpful.

I neglected to try scrolling down the possible dialogue topics. Duh.
I wouldn't have thought of shift-click in a hundred years, probably.
I missed the mace!

Thanks again.

No and I can't figure it out. At Prince Camelli's tomb I see the grab-fist symbol but can't grab anything. Someone posted somewhere that you have to be looking at the face on the tomb and leap and grab at that same time. I can't see any face at the Prince's tomb. What am I doing wrong; or, rahter, what the heck should I be doing?
