Mer Killing Robots and MK.......

I was recently having an argument with a fellow forumite, on whether Pelinal Whitestrake was in Ysgramor's 500 Companions or not. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1461420-which-force-can-take-tamriel/page-3#entry22704455

Here's the two questions:

1) Was Pelinal actually in Ysgramor's 500?

2) MK still has influence in TES's Lore right?

Well, he is supposed to be a half crazed time traveler. As to the second question, I believe a dev (Was it Kurt? I don't recall) did say that MK's work had a lot more influence on Skyrim then it did in Oblivion.

That was what I was saying to the forumite, but he brushed me off. Was Pelinal from Atmora? Ignoring the time-traveling aspect of him.

Obviously there's some debate as to what constitutes canon in the Elder Scrolls universe, but I think it should be clear MK still has influence. The White-Gold Concordant was his idea, for example, and many small details in Skyrim are direct references to his work. Quick example being that Heimskr quotes directly from From The Many-Headed Talos.

Ok, that's what I wanted to make sure of. Though the Pelinal situation is still perplexing me. I could've swore he was in the 500.
