When Fallout falls through..where do you go?

Post » Sat Jun 01, 2013 3:01 pm

I have an obsession with post apocalyptia and THE Fallout series(and Bethesda).

I typically bounce between wastelands, and in between games. I decided to take a short visit to Cyrodiil but found myself going up towards Skyrim. When it got too cold, I went island hopping in Far Cry 3 which was short lived. Although, the water looked nice so I checked out Bioshock. The lights were pretty, but plentiful and I got bored fast. I needed some more dark metro tunnels in my life so Russian tunnels of Metro 2033 held my attention.... Last Light soon. And sometimes I feel like feeding someone to a swarm of rats in Dunwall. God save the Queen.

In short, I have few games and when I do play, 80% of weekly game time is dedicated to Fallout, save space for Halo 4 multiplayer, of course.

For the obsessed and like minded, what else do you play?

sorry guys, I'm running a fever with 2 hoodies on, chair ridden, and restless looking for recommendations.

I actually bought Metro Last Light too, but i'm not ready to start it yet. I think I got one more fallout new vegas character in me, before taking a break. I'm due for a long break though, but i'm on a silly stretch of not being able to put this game down.

I used to go back and forth with MAG and New Vegas, was into Black Ops 2 for a bit, but I haven't been in the mood for a full on FPS. I blame Fallout for that.

Ha ha. I feel the same. Metro 2033 was a decent transition from my Fo:NV binge, into Metro, back into Fo3 again. I just beat Metro last night. So, I'm looking forward to Last Light sometime next week.

If you're old enough to remember The Greatest, you should trot on over to Good Old Games. They go from Zork, through a couple of Wizardry's and all of the Ultima's, Descent 1 and 2, Duke and Blake Stone, the Baldur's Gates and Icewind Dales, Planescape: Torment, Arcanum...hell, they even have The Incredible Machine series...all DRM free and ready to play on Win 7 and probably 8.

If you like scary wastelands then the Stalker series is a must.
