Mah horses are gone!

Yeah, I'm sure it's a mod. Not sure which one. Could someone help me out here? Just started replaying the game and am trying to get all the bugs worked out of it. The horses aren't lost in game, they just aren't rendering. There is one horse that just shows a mane. It's weird.

Here's my load order report:

Spoiler

Anybody see anything doesn't look right?

Sounds like you are missing the resources, meshes and possibly textures, from one of your horse mods, maybe Slof's Horses. Did you install it correctly?

That's what I thought. I don't even know where that mod came from. I think it was in a package installer. I'll DL the actual mod for it and see if that fixes it.

Are you using a compilation pack of mods? If so, you won't get any support for the included mods. Such compilations aren't well-liked around here. They're often thrown to gether without permissino from the authors, and they inevitably become out-of-date.

 When it comes to old mods you can't expect much support no matter where you got them, just the occasional knowledge from other users. You can't really hope to pick Slof's brains nowadays about Oblivion modding (or maybe I'm mistaken?)

But otherwise yes, given the lack of supported compilations you would really do yourself a favor by downloading and installing each mod separately, thinking if it really suits your game, or if there could be more modern alternatives elsewhere, not just dumping to your game everything that some other user thinks Oblivion needs. A time consuming hobby perhaps, one that you have to consider if you want to invest time into.
