Unfortunately, I find that NPCs will still run and jump into obstacles they cannot get over.


Hmm, I think I would need to see a video or something, since I?m not sure if we are talking about the same thing exactly. I mean this little plugin can?t make them extra clever - on the contrary, to make the NPCs even TRY to get over obstacles, they have to be tricked into doing something as stupid as running against them. Then they either get over or don?t.


But this should only take place temporarily, after which the NPCs should normally try to find a way around - of course if there?s no such way, they know it and THEN they can just as well keep trying, beats standing in place and collecting head shots while being unable to do anything.

So I?m not sure which it is, are the NPCs getting stuck jumping where there?s a perfectly good way to just run where they want to go, or are they running and jumping (continuously) when they cannot get where you are anyway?


The first one would be unwanted, the second one intended. Unfortunately there?s no perfect medium. :)

It's the second one. They're trying to get over, but they can't so they keep on trying over and over and over again. Keep in mind this is with a jump height of 60. I prefer it that way.

Though it doesn't happen often. What I found in most cases, is that NPCs were automatically teleported back up.

Oh, well then I guess it?s no harm, I know it looks kinda silly but then the vanilla alternative is that they simply accept they cannot get there are stand still, so that you can shoot them freely with spells and arrows. Even if they wont get where you are due to lower jump height at least they don?t make as easy targets, in some cases they might even manage to hit you when you try to get a good shooting angle.

It?s main idea of the plugin, to help prevent exploiting every single rock as a safe haven to get free kills with no danger at all. :)



The last part I didn?t understand. "Teleported BACK UP??". :confused:

A month or so, this little side project took all my modding time temporarily and I?m struggling with school and work. Hopefully I keep having energy to put in a few hours a week. :)

I mean, they just automatically go right back up. You were talking about that bug a couple pages back I think.


I still don?t understand. Are you talking about jumping or the vanilla bug where NPCs falling from a cliff (knocked down) teleport to where they got knocked down when they wake up? :confused:
