Hello all.

I'm a fairly new Morrowind player with about 45 hours in the game so far. I'm playing an Altmer mage with the Mage birth sign. Absolutely loving the game and wish I had found it earlier!

Recently, I came across the mentor's ring, which has boosted my Intelligence and Willpower attributes. Upon reaching level 20, I realised that my Intelligence attribute had passed the 100 mark and I have since found out that this is possible because I am wearing the mentor's ring.

I have a couple of questions about this. First of all, is there any point in taking any of the attributes beyond 100? In particular, will I gain any benefit in continuing to select Intelligence and Willpower to take them beyond 100, or would it be better to focus on other attributes once I reach 100?

Finally, is this considered 'cheating' or exploiting the game? I'm guessing this isn't how it was intended to work? What are people's views on it?

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm wondering what I should do when I reach my next level up!

It can't be cheating since you can Fortify and go beyond 100 in any attribute or skill, and yes it really does make a difference. For example, if you Soultrap Glitched your Sneak into the tens of thousands you could pickpocket someone face to face, in broad daylight, with witnesses all around.

Take your ring off and notice that your Magicka dropped....
