Complaint about Complaints on DLC

Post » Sun Jun 02, 2013 9:42 am

Just have to say, am I sad/upset this is not free or $5 (US)?...yes. Do I wish these maps ended up in normal rotation?...yes. But what I find interesting is, if all the people who are b****ing about actually brought the DLC, maybe; just maybe we would get a decent amount of people playing the DLC.

Also, a lot of you guys smoke cigarettes ($5+ a pack), something that is gone in max 2 days. $15 should not be a biggie.

Just saying....

Interesting thread, knowing the maturity of the gamesas forums, I'ms sure that the forum members will find a way making this troll bait into a delightful and wonderfully constructive discussion.

I get your point, Cee. It's not so much that $15 is not a lot of money, it isn't for most people. I don't personally think the DLC is worth $15 though... $10 maybe, and definitely $5. Especially considering the gamble anyone that buys it is taking (see below).

Might I get it? Maybe, I'll see what the other forumers say about it once released. If the majority of the threads that come out after the launch are things like "the maps aren't really good" or "the new weapons svck" or the dreaded "I can't get any games because no one has the DLC!" Then why should I, being only one more person, go out and buy it and fall into the same trap as the others? (which I know you've already addressed in your original post, Cee, but it's still a valid concern. I don't want to, like many others, throw away money because not enough people bought it.) It's a catch 22, I know. If few people buy it, then no one will be able to play it. If people can't play it, others wont buy it.

Now if there was a concerted effort to get the majority of the people playing on each platform to own the DLC, that might be a different story. I'll check the General and Xbox discussion boards after launch and make my decision then.

15 bucks for new modes, maps, and weapons? That isn't worth it? What?

I believe it is boarder line value for your money. But I believe the biggest worry people have SDub is the amount of people who are going to buy it.
It is pointless owning what looks to be a great exspansion if only a hand full have gone ahead and bought the DLC.
There will be no servers (p2p) or a handfull at best.

I am going to sit on the side line an wait to see how it unfolds before I part with my change.....
