Can I get Sydney's SMG

Post » Sun Apr 11, 2010 5:48 am

I just completed this quest today for the first time, and I was wondering if you can still get her to give you her unique SMG after you complete the quest and she has set up shop in Rivet City? I try not to go to the wiki until after I have done a quest for the first time so I don't ruin it for myself, and I just assumed she would give up her gun when the quest was over. Unfortunately, it didn't work out like that at all. After going to the Vault, I now know I needed a note from her father in order to get her to give me the SMG. Can I go to the Statesman Hotel and get the note, then go back to Rivet City and talk to her again, or have I lost any chance of getting it now?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

edit - sorry for misspelling "Independence" in my topic description.

Yes, as long as you've finished the quest you can go to her with the holotape anytime to get her unique SMG. She moves to Underworld after completing Stealing Independence but be warned, she sometimes dies or gets stuck on stuff on her way there. It's always best to escort her to Underworld if you can.

yeah you need to visit her in Underworld and give her the holotape about her partner and she says she is retired and gives you the ultra smg and some ammo. it is one of the better one handed guns...

I did this for first time the other day, wasn't that far and didn't take long even though NPC's walk realy slow! She did get stuck on some pipes and I had to freindly fire her to make her chase me which freed her, fortunately she accepted my yeild afterwards :)
