Low volume - Can't fix at all with VIA audio card

Post » Sun Jun 02, 2013 9:58 pm

Hello to all.

In my previous PC configuration I had a Realtek HD audio card and the fix for that card worked very fine.

Now, in my new PC, I've the Via HD Audio card.

Trying to fix low volume in the same way made as in Realtek HD audio card, I don't get the solution at all.

All the voices of the NPCs are mute if I'm exactly in front of the speaking NPC! If I'm slightly in right or left, I can hear again the voice.

The low volume issue is a very annoying issue :(

How can I fix it?!

Many thanks.

This sounds like a 2.1/5.1 issue. 90% of the dialog will come from the center speaker in 5.1 so the left and right get little, unless you turn your head.

So, check the speaker settings and make sure the array in there is what you really have. Also, if there is a tonal calibration where you can set the speaker levels, this can help. Download a db meter app for your smart phone to help with this if you really want the tweak the levels.

Get the latest audio drivers from VIA, and try those if the above does not work. Finally, you might have to get stand alone audio card, it does not have to be high end, as some on board sound chips svck for gaming.

Thanks.

I've tried to enable the center speaker too and I'm still unlucky :(

I'm using earphones.
