Most Logical Way to Fight a Dragon

Post » Mon Jun 03, 2013 3:22 pm

Summons, perfect is an fire or frost elemental as tank, dragons tend to be distracted by other creatures. Killed lots of them while they have fought beers, twice they have focused on horkers while I was raining arrows over them. As the fire based breath attack would not hurt an fire elemental the dragon has either to use shouts or land.

An ballistic or heavy crossbow with an harpoon would be devastating. Either pin it down or at least do extra damage then the dragon rip it free,

My favorite way to fight a dragon is as a Mage. With the Ward Spells, you can totally cancel the dragons shout. Also, all dragons have no resistance to shock damage which makes shock damage perfect to deal the most damage. You could go the warrior route. With the Block perk Elemental Protection, you can resist 50% of the dragons shout damage. A Thief could do this pretty well. By either brewing Invisibility Potions or using the Invisibility spell under Illusion you can remain, well, invisible to the dragon while coating your arrows with poisons and deal critical sneak damage. It's really up to you and how you prefer to play.

Magic, Bows/Crossbows

And if you absolutely have to... spears... Oh wait you cant acquire the Snow Princes spear in DB and use it to kill dragons.

If I was fighting dragons, in a world with Skyrim-level technology? I'd use ballistas. Big honkin' ballistas.

Then pen is mightier than the sword; I'd write the dragon a rude letter and send it via courier.

Na I'd use my speechcraft to convince it to let me help it kill everything else. I suppose If I had to fight a real dragon in person I'd end up becoming a Dragon priest.

+10 if the Courier delivers it to the Dragon waking it from it's slumber, while naked.

So you want to know if Skyrim was real and you had to face a real dragon what would be the most logical cause of action ?. Well on balance taking all the facts into consideration I would say best thing to do would be to run away very fast.

Arrange Bear Traps around the Dragon Lair, and etch "Dragonrend" visibly around the same area. wake up the Dragon.

I would set my mother in law on it now there's one battleaxe that could kill a dragon no problem.

Oh, he means a real life dragon. F**k me!

In real life, I would say use a .50 cal. If there anything like in skyrim and anything remotely close to the animal we have on earth today, the scales on it are going to act as an armor. A .50 cal' do the trick.

well...... having the artifact spellbreaker and an enchanted sword that has fire and ice (fire dragons have an ice weakness and vice versa)

or you could have fire/frost resist armor and some enchanted weapon maybe dragonbane
