How can I improve my aim?

Post » Tue Jun 04, 2013 10:43 am

Straight to the point - My aim svcks. :D

I've tried playing many aiming/tracking games and I seem to do fine in them, i'm not horrific but that doesn't translate the slightest into actual game play...

I know about tap fire and moving the mouse down for recoil and stuff but actual aiming/precision..

Any tips?
Anyone wanna teach me? :D

Regards,
Jared

You can't improve it.You are either born with it or you don't.Good mouse and low sensitivity can only help you so much.Reflexes are what separates noobs from pros.

I thought you'll instantly become pro after Biteys lessons :P
He charges $10 for "tap fire" tip? lmao xP

I have the same problem in games, it's not that I can't aim, but I fail in those important moments when I'm under fire.
There are many tips and tricks I can tell you, but you'll have to pay me :P and play C2 with me. ;D

Step 1: If you have the crappy mouse that came with your PC throw it away and get a good one.

Step2: Set your mouse so it doesn′t have smoothing and use a very slow sensivility.

Step 3: Go to a game with much harder aiming (say, Crysis 1), set a server with password and unlimited ammo and spend 3 hours aiming at some dot 15 meters away.

Step 4: Repeat step 3 for 1 week while also going to a game, an actual hard game that is, (Crysis 1/Wars will do as well) and try to get only headshots.

Step 5: Go back to C3 and enjoy having noobs calling you an aimbotter!

Pick up the DSGr. Join a server full of scar+laser.
Try your hardest. Get smashed.

This is the most important part: you can't get mad. You have to learn to be patient. It will be absurdly difficult at first, and it'll never be easy. But you will improve, and it will be noticeable.

Also all the advice about getting a new mouse/mousepad and lowering your sensitivity is good too.

I dunno if I totally agree. I think there's a lot factors to consider. Some are in our control and some aren't. Let's assume we have the best possible situation in pc hardware just to get that out of the way. Now you can look at just physiological & psychological things. Innate reaction time is something you can only control so much for and things affect that. Age, alertness, and game competence are just a few things going on that may influence reaction time. Some people get frustrated quicker, like me, and deteriorate in game and some can pull it together and refocus. Yea there definitely is something to be said for out of the box skill but I think people can get better over time, i mean I'm somewhat of a testament to that idea. i dunno Jared, youre doing something right with a 4 kdr lol!! Just aim for the head everytime and you cant go wrong......
