Its nice, but I wouldn't call it glorious.

Plus, they got some of the locations in Skyrim wrong.

Isn't that just the map of Tamriel Bethesda made, with some new colours and textures?
The locations in Skyrim are wrong because they changed Skyrim around a bit from their earlier maps.

Edit: don't get me wrong, it looks great. It's just not quite 'glorious' ;)

It's glorious in resolution alone, as the largest map of Tamriel I've found to date.

Also which locations are wrong? They all look correct to me: http://images.wikia.com/elderscrolls/images/e/e4/Map_tamriel.jpg

Apparently you've not played Skyrim...

Markarth is far west, and Whiterun is northwest of the Throat of the World instead of northeast. Windhelm is more south, and its missing a city which should be where Markarth is (Forgot its name)

Their map is also missing Solstheim.

True. I guess we were expecting some original artwork or something!
'Markarth Side' is the inaccuracy, which is actually the city of Markarth. I believe the city was moved westward a bit, although I could be mistaken.

The map you linked is the one that the artist recoloured. Hence the similarities.

Edit: Echonite has a keener eye than I do! I believe Markarth Side is in roughly the same spot as the town of Karthwasten.

Yes I've played Skyrim. I guess I wasn't being clear, technically we're both right. The second map I linked to is the official map of Tamriel created by Bethesda. The map created by Belhene is basically a retexturing and rescaling of Bethesda's map. As you see it clearly lacks Solstheim as well (which is quite peculiar) and the positioning of Markarth Side different from that seen in TES V. Your observation was also correct, the map was clearly modified for the most recent game. I suppose that map is proper cannon now, and therefore the older map is outdated.

Oh and "Markarth Side" has been the name in lore up to TES V: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Markarth_Side
