What new equipment is available from this DLC (thats not quest related)

Just finished the MQ of SI

My current Character is level 25

Does the main quest of KOTN take me any where new like SI did ?

As far as I′m aware of you don′t go to a whole new map, if that′s what you mean. New locations such as forts pop up however

Yes, this is the case. KOTN takes place in good old Cyrodiil. It does add some new dungeons though, and takes you to some of the vanilla places (and changes those vanilla places) as well.

There are a couple of scenes that take place in quite an unusual location, though. As in "way up there." :wink_smile:

So I started The DLc but then got stuck on the 1st quest ...

So im hunting for altars of some sort activated 4 but the 2nd one wasnt inline with the map i was handed The mara alatr is apparently the Zenither Alter and then when i came across my 5th altar it was also the zenither altar ... do i need the journal to say ive activated each altar or can i just activate and leave ?


(also the 5th altar i went to was outside of bravil just up the path a bit the 2nd altar was near that inn up the road from anvil)

The Altars for each individual Divine are located in more than one location in the game. You can use a different altar than the ones on the map the prophet gives you, as long as you activate all nine at least once. I had an Evil character and had to visit every altar twice to recieve the vision. Each map location IS an altar, but you found out that other altars can be close enough to the one you are looking for to confuse a player.

ok thats rather irritating ...

any one have pic of the paper map that comes with the game with 100% accurate altar locations and which each one is ??? (is the full KOTN quest unmarked or just this bit because if its teh full DLC or the majority of it i might just stop playing and go to morrowind ...)

yay that be perfect gonna usem y cam see if that works :P

^.^ got it in 3 pics and since i can zoom in i can get really epic detail as to their location + my cam doesnt blue unless in motion or at max zoom)

In the page with your factions and ranks, does it say Pilgrim? If so the quest has updated properly, and there will be no notification until all nine shrines have been visited.

-.- yesterday i activated all the wayshrines and then some voice started talking but before this i was tryign to get back on top of shadow mere but i never reached it because my character apparently forgot how to climb so ended up continually walking towards the horse

but after teh voice shut up the game went into a teleport laod screen and froze ...

so i realod my last save activated the kynareth shrine again but well i was doing this my horse got in combat with teh npc that hangs around and since that npc isnt hostile to me only my horse i got on my horse to try stop teh fight

what ended up happening i got teleported 50million miles into teh sky and was unable to move i pressed a to get off teh horse and spawned beside mmy horse
but my horse was no longer solid and i could walk through it and i couldnt ride it any more ...

so then i turned my console off ...

how do i travel around with out bringing my horse ??? even when i go to a stable leave it and then fast travel it spawns beside me

Your horse will normally fast travel with you. If you want to adventure without your horse for a time while using fast travel, here is what I would do:

Fast travel to the place where you got the horse so the horse is at 'home'. Then carefully steal another horse briefly without getting caught. That will convince your horse that you no longer want them. As a result, your horse will wander home (already there in this case) and no longer travel with you. Neither will the stolen horse. When you want to resume traveling with your horse, simply return to them, mount them and all is good.

Notes on horse thieving: Even the horse you steal will 'report' you if he sees you. The best way to steal a horse is to use a 'command creature' spell (a low level one is fine since horses are very low level) to coax the horse away from curious eyes. Then go into sneak mode and from behind the horse and undetected, mount the horse.

This all sounds kind of complex, but with a touch of practice is fast, easy and slick.

you must not be very good at horse stealing if you need spells :P

ive been able to steal a horse unseen with characters fresh from the tut with next to know sneak skill and no spells / scrolls or anything

If you can do all that, what's with all the questions about Wayshrines? You shouldn't mock someone who's trying to help you. Forgive the cliche but, 'don't look a gift horse in the mouth!'

I apologize but i really dont see how any one could need spells to steal a horse its way to easy just walk into the horses you dont want so that they are facing a diffrent direction

then teh horse you do want try to force it to walk forwards evtually it will walk into a blind zone quickly tap the climb button

Ok I now am positively stuck

... so well tryign to aquire the relics I thought id try my hand at getting the mace repeated failure but my journal told me i should come back for that later so I gathered the guantlets (after realizing i had to use a spell on the cursed one i thought i had to punch untill he was unconciousness ...)

any way after that i found Fort Bulwork and I cant find any switches to lower the brides or open the gates I did notice that beside the one brides are two stones that when stepped on make a sound of theme being pressed in like a button but it makes that same sound the second there walked off of so they seem to do nothing but since there the only thing ive found that makes any sound of something happend .... am i supposed to summon a creature on them and then some how make them stay ???
