Speech leveling problem

Post » Thu Jun 06, 2013 5:30 pm

I watched some videos and most people were going to Black Briar Meadry to get speech level increased quickly, I would prefer not going to Solitude in any shape or form, and already have leveled up the most I can from Ogmund? in Markarth as speech instructor, well, went to Black Briar Meadry and the attendant whether at Black Briar Meadry or Bunk House, he won't give the option to be persuaded again a second time, I was going to Valheim Towers to get speech increased from some bandits, but every time I go there, they take the money but nothing is increased! Anybody have any ideas?

The exploit to constantly persuade Ungrien was fixed in the 1.9 patch, so it no longer works. You can either uninstall the patch, do your exploit, then reinstall it, or you can level speech the old fashioned way. Speech is most easily increased by selling high-value items one at a time; you get XP based on the base value of the item sold, but selling multiple items only gives you XP for a single item. Frankly, as you play the game, if you loot enchanted items, you'll find you're gaining Speech XP at a fairly decent rate. It's not super-fast, but it's a constant stream of XP.

thanks for the information, not sure understand the "XP" thing, but I will try selling items one at a time though... I'll come back to this post and keep you updated if you are interested, thanks!

XP is short for 'experience'. As you use a skill, you get skill experience. Once you get a certain amount of skill experience, you gain a level in that skill. Typing XP is shorter than typing experience, and you don't have to worry about spelling mistakes. As long as the person reading the post knows to interpret XP as experience, it gets the message across.

I think it is pointless to even going over to Solitude as I was not planning on going over there, something about cities bothers me, as there is alot of crimes in cities, (Skyrim and Earth!) so I tend to stay away from the cities and stay near the woods, at level 80 in speech, so there has to do be a way, maybe the way will be the
most rewarding in the long run for the game as the criminals in Whiterun and upities in Solitude won't get no money! The guards already know I'm not going into Riften because I told them so! Pretty crazy, I am curious to see if anyone else talks while in gameplay? May go into Riften later on, if some of the crime and corruption goes down, I do live in the Rift, so if I were to go into a city, it'd most likely be Riften; however only have been in one major city (Markahe rth), they seem kind of corrupt also, due to the fact of the Forsworn presence in the Reach, I am more a Rift type person myself, it's pretty laid back, and plus Rift Magik is bar-none compared to any other
place in Tamriel maybe...!
