I swear I will never..... again!

Whenever I plan on ending a playing session... I feel compelled to open up the console and spawn a few hundred frenzied Draugr/Dremora and watching them duke it out in a free-for-all.

It looks something like this: http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/541831196172416275/98E01C66524987B56DA36A36DD29F5BA2B48C580/

I then keep telling myself: "No more. No more. K... maybe one more..." Sometimes I don't stop until the game can't handle the amount of dead bodies...

For me...The real reason why I keep the notes and journals....

When I was young I was hiking / fishing and on my own " quest " I happened upon a note in a bottle. It had bee tied to a balloon so that the air currents coud take it where ever. This really struck me as a child, I couldn't read the note it was in a language that I don't speak but none the less it really impacted me. But as a child my family moved A LOT and in the process that note eventually was lost  I really would have enjoyed translating that note now as an advlt and then replying to it, may be 20 years too late, but better late then never. :D

So you see there's a little bit of a personal reasoning behind my characters keeping all the odd notes and journals I come across, same goes for hording jewels and bug hunting both are actual hobbies of mine. I in RL collect rocks and bugs

Hi Hevnoraak. Remember, you can get over this if you believe you can fly... oh sorry... never mind.

But you CAN get over this! All you need to do is BELIEVE!

Good, we all need to have someone to look up to. [Though perhaps Alduin isn't the best role-model to stop being chaotic]

I'll answer the title of your thread:

I swear I will never again:

1. Adopt kids. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING ruins your immersion than hearing "Papa, youre home". Hate, hate, hate, hate, hated it.

2. Marry a non follower chick. Need to equip my wife(s) in fancy sixy armor and/or tavern clothes.

3. Waste any perks on pickpocket or lockpicking. Total waste.

4. Hire Jenassa as a follower. Did it twice and she got killed both times at the first dungeon we visited.

5. Try to defeat Kevnel while only on level 8.

Potions. The contents of my dresser alone is enough to turn the tide of the civil war.

I'm addicted to save too often. Damn it has became a habit and I do it before I notice. But it bothers me sometimes because game stops before and after every battle, before and after every chest, after I pick an item, after I kill an enemy, when I'm going to enter somewhere, when I have entered somewhere, before and after I have talked with someone etc.

1218 hours gameplay and 33439 saves + named saves made with console. I wish I could trust only in quick save but with vanilla every fifth quick save used to be corrupted one. I know that has been fixed with 1.2 or 1.3 patch but still I keep saving with the habit I got at that early in the game.

I swear I will never again save so often I currently do. Hopefully I can keep that.

There is help for you my child. Fledglings learn to fly by being pushed off the branch. Consider checking your quest log or character information, criminal record, kills etc when your finger convulsively twitches on the button to enter save game mode.

I can't stop picking up alchemy ingredients. Everytime I pass a flower, I feel this compulsion to harvest it. I want to stop ... I just can't. Its so embarassing.

I too unfortunately am feeling the pull of this obsession. My PC character may do Alchemy in the future, something I didn't do with my 360 character. I am picking every flower, mushroom etc I find obstensibly to sell in bulk to alchemists. A keen eye picks out so many tempting targets along the way I fear I may fall before the addiction. Together however we may be strong against this demon!

Bless you my child and may you find the strength to fight the unnatural urge to prey on your fellow mortals. This dark obsession is powerful but it may yet fall before the light!
