I just followed the Bendu Olo quest tutorial on the CK official site, but when I click on bendu he doesn't go into a dialogue tree.

I read on the engineering guilds tutorials, is that the "Start Game Enabled" box that the CK tutorial tells me to tick, no longer works. Does this mean that the CK site's tutorial no longer viable?

I mean, I followed the thing to the letter.

i still have this issue with my mod crashing for no obvious reason (no editor warnings, no tes5edit complaints, no log entries except my traces and master file's)

(this'll be my master's degree in frustration tolerance)

i think i could narrow it down this far meanwhile: a scene plays to the end successfully, and as soon as it ends > ctd.

the trace i get as last log entry (after ;ing every other possible source out) is the last line in this scene's end fragment. scene's not quest-ending. and the original version, a version with completely redone script and a completely redone scene version with completely redone script again produce the same results, so i can at least pretty much exclude i messed up the scene somehow.

any ideas what could cause this, or any way to get more info what's going on from the game (beyond log)?

@ bigdaddy: got music in there indeed, but none custom, just vanilla music types added (and ;'d out for now anyhow)

@Marthgun

There's an extra step when using a "start game enabled" quest and that is you need to generate a "SEQ file" in order for the dialogue to work in game. This was known as the "dialogue bug" for a while when we didn't know this step existed. The easiest way is to load your plugin in tes5edit, right click on it in the left hand list, then there should be a "generate seq file" option in there somewhere
