Double-Trubble: Buttonsnavmeshes not working?

Post » Sat Jun 08, 2013 5:04 am

Using the Mothership Zeta legacy pieces in FoNV (bless my soul i made some people very angry getting those) and when i try to generate a navmesh on the Corvette i made, it makes triangles on the mid-room ceilings and it never finishes creating it, leaving at least half of the space open. Additionally, it likes to bridge corners with long, thin triangles which the My First Vault tutorial says is a very bad idea.

Additionally, the doors don't work, so i made an Alein Button a parent and connected it to the door, but now whenever i get within about 5 meters from the button (even through walls and floor with noclip) my controls freeze up and my PC strops moving. i can still use the console and escape menu but all ingame controls do not respond at all. The reason i discovered the navmeshing problem is i was seeing if creating a mavmeshed floor would solve the issue.

And also, the MFV tutorial never says how long and thin a triangle has to be before it gets troublesome. what's the recommended limit?
