This shout doesn't work on Legendary Dragons?

Post » Sun Jun 09, 2013 5:11 am

Okay I've no idea how to use Spoiler Alert stuff here. Don't read on unless you've completed the main quest

I was fighting a Legendary Dragon and tried using Dragonrend shout and it didn't work. I used it 5 more times and it wouldn't work. So I was wondering if it just doesn't work on Legendary Dragons or if it's a bug or something. I'm playing on XBOX

I meant DragonRend not clear skies

Most definitely a bug, when ( and I stress when ) I do use Dragonrend it works on legendary dragons, never has it failed me. But as others have and will point out it takes from the challenge of fighting a dragon, so I tend to not use it unless in dire need.

There's an easier way.....

Right next to where you can select the font as you're typing there's another option called " special BBCode ", you can select spoiler there and type in whatever.

Or, you know, just ask a moderator to move the thread to spoilers. :)

Sounds like you may have run into a glitch or bug, but I have found dragonrend to work pretty consistently.

Or that yes :D It's still best to educate on the use of spoiler tags though  Not using spoilers landed me in quite a bit of trouble when I first joined the boards

Dragonrend does not always force them to land anyway, maybe depends on the range or strength of dragon

Since one of the patches caused Dragonrend to malfunction on a consistent basis (dragons hit with it go into orbit, fly away at higher-than-normal speed, or outright ignore it), I've found it an utterly useless shout.
