[HELP] Ysolda (wife) Missing, 90 hours in!

Post » Sun Jun 09, 2013 5:27 pm

XBOX 360

Hey all,
So I ran into the problem a while ago and read up in general about how Ysolda as your wife can wonder around Whiterun. But she has completely disappeared. She used to alway be in Breeze Home.

I've checked all over Whiterun outside and inside Breeze Home, Brannered Mare & Ysoldas house.

I did the Quest "A Night To Remember" and all was ok. However I did a quest (I forgot which one) but it was a quiet where you had to kill a king or someone that was traveling Skyrim staying at inns.

She was in the Brannered Mare when I killed the NPC for the quest. Now she's no where to be found in Whiterun.

I've tried to re-marry another of the marry-able NPCs & even after completing some of the marry-ables NPC quest to allow you to marry them the option never shows, so it means Ysolda isn't dead.

Has anyone had this?

The help depends whether you are on console or PC, if on PC you can use a command to bring her to you. Since she wasn't in a HF home she wasn't kidnapped. Ysolda does have a house in the city behind the Bannered Mare, you might try there.

Also once you are married in Skyrim you can't get remarried anyay if on console though you can force it via console commands on PC.

Ysolda has been found in the cave in the Giant's Sleeping Tree Camp. I would suggest however if you want to save youself more fruitless time chasing her around that you revert to a save before you did the quest as it appears to have glitched her and try it again.

I've been to the sleeping tree cave and she's not there either.

I also went to sleeping tree cave to get Ysolda note for that quest attached to that and there was no Orc body in the cave for the note and I haven't completed the quest related to that note found in the caves (the quest isn't in the active or finished list)

If she died she would be. It's worth checking.

Ysolda is essential, unfortunately. She won't be at the Hall of the Dead. Perhaps a merchant died in Whiterun and she took over that shop.

Yep she's in the hall of the dead.

I guess I can't re-marry on the 360?

No, you cannot remarry. Sorry for your loss.

I thought she was essential. How did you manage to get her killed? On top of being immortal she's probably the most cowardly NPC in Skyrim. She runs from EVERYTHING.

God know but er coffin is in the hall of the dead. She may have been killed off before the patch.

If I can remarry does that make the DLC you can build a house an adopt kids useless then?

NPCs just die sometimes. Game weirdness, perhaps? Who knows.

You don't have to be married to adopt.

You mean her drug money. The store was just a story.

I think she ceases to be essential after "A Night to Remember"
