When doing side quests. NOT MISC quests the usually update and track automatically but for some reason when ever I get a new quest it doesnt start tracking, Why is this, this a bug? And no they are not MISC quests

If a quest marker is already active, a new one cant unless you activate it yourself.

there are none active just the misc ones I am doing

even when misc quest are active, it stops any from automatically activating.

Oh, I never realized that before. And I've been playing since November . But the main dragonborn quest was updating just not side missions

Yep, with the MQ active the others won't activate.

Also it depends on the quest, some where you have to find something, or someone, are not going to give you a quest marker. You have to go find it yourself.
