Who's disappointed about no Atmora expansion pack?

Apparently, there will be no further expansion packs done for Skyrim. From this point forward, I have the impression development seems to be focused on a new game already, perhaps the next Fallout. Nonetheless, I am disappointed that Bethesda did not use a good opportunity to show us the continent of Atmora, north of Tamriel, while attention is toward a game that focuses heavily on Nordic culture and cold weather.

The fact that Dragonborn gave us the opportunity to see Solstheim (for some of us, again) is wonderful, of course, and it drew in some of the more familiar elements of Morrowind, such as architecture, culture, and landmarks.

Concerning Atmora, I am aware that it could possibly be too similar to Skyrim, but snow is not such a dominant feature of the land, at least the season the game portrays, anyway. Much of the snow is near the northern coast, and Atmora could look distinctively different enough if Bethesda had decided to make it so. I believe the island Roscrea is also north of Skyrim, which could have been portrayed similarly to Solstheim. Atmora is supposed to be the former homeland of the Nordic race (not all humans are from there), and it was once a warmer environment, now supposed to be extremely harsh and cold. However, I suspect that if Bethesda were to allow it lore-wise, people could still live while traveling that old land, and witness the old ruins or the present situation of civilization there, such as a few small camps of Nords that live similarly to the Inuit/Eskimo and northern Siberian people. My point is, that Atmora has the potential to appear distinctive enough compared to Skyrim, if there had been any concern at all between too much similarity.

What bothers me is that the potential to attract fans of Skyrim was there (and may very well still be here), as well as the new quest and exploration possibilities, yet Bethesda did not pursue it. It is their game, so they could do as they please with the series. However, as one fan of the Elder Scrolls, I wish to express my regrets that more could not have been done for anything concerning the Sea of Ghosts and Atmora. I think some opportunities are being missed. Does anybody else feel the same?

It would be interesting to see, but everything would be trying to eat you, which would limit the amout of quest-givers to practically 0

I have mixed opinions on the DLC we got- Dawnguard was basically a "zombie apocalypse pack" and DLC like that was way too popular in 2012. On the flip side, Dawnguard let us see a realm of Oblivion that we haven't heard about since Battlespire (in 1998!), so that was cool, although it didn't exactly answer any questions that we had about the realm.

Dragonborn was amazeballs, although considering that the two Elder Scrolls novels had a couple of chapters set on Solstheim, I was kind of hoping we'd see some of the locations (Sathil, supposedly a pretty major Dunmer town on the coast) and characters (new Frost Giant holed up in the mountains) from the books, or at least some more recognition, that yes, the books actually existed, and a Mede emperor that's never since been mentioned, actually visited the island. You'd think that'd be a big deal. He got it on with (I'm pretty sure) a Dunmer girl, so it'd be interesting if her (hypothetical) son (who'd be an heir to the throne) showed up.

But no, I wouldn't really want an Atmora DLC. Unless it was super-different to Solstheim, which is basically a frozen hell-hole. We don't need a second hell-hole.

Orsinium. That... THAT was a missed opportunity.

We didn't miss anything about Atmora. It's literally a frozen wasteland. There's nothing there.

But Orisnium being conveniently re-located so close to Skyrim... WTF? What a wasted potential. The poor Orcs.
