Luckily I had previously downloaded most everything on the page that might apply to v2.49B I have also added in the other required files to the page (Python, PyFFI, NIF Scripts, the matched set) plus a couple other useful PDF reference files. It is truly a one stop shopping Blender page

Edit: I note the main file has 2 downloads already, but I wanted to say that while the main download do have a bundled set of Python, PyFFI, NIF Scripts in it, the set I uploaded as additional files are a more recent (newer) matched set and should be used.
