Is there any pages on UESP or in-game books that talks about Dawnstar? im interested in that city.

hmm thanks i guess, i already know that. i meant is there any in game book that has a story centered in Dawnstar? i guess ill just check the References section on that page.

the information on that page arent all that specific. i want to know if the city was always so small or was it once a major city?

There is an in-game book about the snow warriors / ice warriors (Falmer) where it mentions how they attacked the Imperial garrison town of Dawnstar.

The town (and capital of it's hold) of Dawnstar doesn't have the legion garrisoned there anymore as we see in Skyrim (possibly due to events of the Oblivion crisis and not helped by civil war) but I am guessing that the fort on the hill over looking Dawnstar must be remains of the old Imperial garrison left to ruin.
