The strip's double doors say I need a key.. who what where how why and when?

Well I got into the strip again, took my sniper rifle backed up far out of detection range shot an AP bullet into the securitrons monitor searched its body grabbed the Vegas. Strip key and let my self in no harm done to my statuses. The game bugged out, seeing I have already been on the strip for quite some time now. But.I am back in soo... FIX THAT PLEASE! !

i have noticed that sometimes I enter the strip and my companions won't come with me, if you walk back to the gate, it says it is locked, but you can open it still from the inside... go out, get your companions and go back in and it won't be locked
